Technology & Products - Acid Stimulation Suite

Precision Chemistry
Beyond Standard Acidizing.

Not all rocks react the same. While generic HCl can clear surface-level carbonate scales, it fails to address the complex mineralogy of sandstone or high-temperature reservoirs. The STIMWRX Acid Stimulation Suite is formulated to penetrate deeper into the matrix - managing iron, silica, and clays to ensure a permanent increase in permeability.

The STIMWRX Approach

Successful Stimulation Is About What Happens After the Acid.

The stimulation industry defaults to off-the-shelf HCl packages because they are simple to deploy. But generic acid addresses only the first problem - dissolving rock - while ignoring what comes next: iron precipitation, silica gel formation, clay swelling, and emulsion lock that can permanently damage the permeability you just created.

STIMWRX designs every acid program around the full reaction cycle - from initial dissolution through flowback - ensuring that what goes in comes back out cleanly, and that the permeability gained is permanent rather than temporary. This thinking is built into each of the four systems in the suite, which can be deployed independently or combined into a single engineered program tailored to your reservoir.

Formation-Specific Design

Acid concentration, inhibitor package, and contact time are engineered for the specific mineralogy of your reservoir - not selected from a generic menu. Carbonate, sandstone, and mixed lithologies each require a different approach.

Iron and Silica Management

Secondary precipitation of iron and colloidal silica can be more damaging than the original scale. Our suite includes advanced sequestering agents and nano-surfactants that keep dissolved species in solution until they are safely flowed back to surface.

100% Flowback by Design

Every system is pre-screened for emulsion and compatibility before it enters your well. Surfactants and mutual solvents are selected to ensure treatment fluids return to surface cleanly - no stable emulsions, no locked wells.

DVG Compatible

The Acid Stimulation Suite is specifically formulated to work in stages alongside DVG - ensuring frac energy and chemistry are distributed across the entire lateral for maximum reservoir contact.

The Suite

Four Systems. One Reservoir Goal.

Each system within the Acid Stimulation Suite addresses a specific mechanism of formation damage or permeability impairment. Deployed individually or in combination depending on the reservoir challenge.

01 - Carbonate and Scale Removal

Inhibited HCl and Organic Blends

Tailored for carbonate reservoirs and scale removal, our inhibited systems include proprietary inhibitors that protect wellbore integrity in high-temperature environments. Organic acid options provide slower reaction rates for deeper penetration or use in sensitive formations where a controlled treatment is required.

02 - High-Volume Stimulation

Frac Acid Systems

Designed for high-rate execution in massive carbonate formations and horizontal completions. Deep etching performance creates conductive wormholes that bypass near-wellbore damage. Friction-reduced formulations allow high-rate pumping through narrow tubulars, and the system is specifically formulated to work in stages alongside DVG for full-lateral coverage.

Silica and Clay Management

The bounce-back effect - where production spikes after stimulation then rapidly fails - is most commonly caused by colloidal silica gel formation, fines migration, and clay swelling that generic acid suites do nothing to prevent. STIMWRX integrates nano-surfactant technology directly into our acid programs, keeping colloids dispersed, locking fines in place, and ensuring 100% flowback of treatment fluids.

Iron Control and Sequestering Agents

Secondary precipitation of iron can be more damaging than the original scale - plugging the very pore throats the treatment was designed to open. STIMWRX uses HTHP-stable sequestering agents that manage both Ferrous (Fe2+) and Ferric (Fe3+) ions, preventing Iron Hydroxide and Iron Sulfide from forming as acid pH climbs. Remains effective in sour wells with H2S present through the full flowback cycle.
