A horizontal well completed with a cemented liner was suffering from near-wellbore scale buildup. A previous 2021 selective stimulation yielded only temporary results; fluids followed high-permeability thief zones, leaving damaged sections untreated.

STIMWRX deployed our DVG™ Advanced Visco-Elastic Diversion System via a rigless bullhead application. By temporarily blocking the high-permeability zones, DVG forced the acid to penetrate the most damaged intervals deep within the reservoir.

Diversion System

STIMWRX-DVG is an advanced visco-elastic diversion system engineered for surface bullhead stimulations in both vertical and horizontal wells. By temporarily blocking high-permeability pathways, DVG ensures that stimulation fluids reach the most damaged or lower-permeability sections of your reservoir, maximizing the effectiveness of every drop pumped.

Unlike traditional solid diversion agents (such as rock salt, benzoic flakes, or bio-balls) -- DVG viscosifies the fluid itself to control leak-off and enable diversion at lower pump rates.

Conformal Coverage: DVG is a true fluid-phase diverter that conforms perfectly to the liner and formation, ensuring a total seal of high-permeability pathways regardless of wellbore orientation.

Guaranteed Breakability: Engineered to break cleanly within 2–3 hours at reservoir temperatures (50°C–80°C / 122°F–176°F), DVG reverts to a water-thin state, with zero interference with production equipment, no residual formation damage.

Rigless Execution: Designed for bullhead applications. Treatments can be performed with pumps, rods, and tubing anchors in place, eliminating the cost and complexity of workover rigs or coiled tubing units.

Operational Readiness: Delivered pre-mixed and transport-ready in bulk or tote packaging, requiring no specialized mixing equipment on the pad.
